TEDxHuntsville Highlights 2010
February 28, 2010 - "Session #1"
The first event for TEDxHuntsville 2010 was held on Sunday, February 28 at the auditorium of the Huntsville/Madison County Public Library, located in Madison, AL. This gathering was to inform and to share ideas about health, medical technology and science.
Even with attendance down, this was still an energetic and engaging meeting, highlighting the accomplishments of engineers and scientists, discussing the technology of the medical field and how it plays a role in the future, and how our decisions for healthy living today will affect our entire community tomorrow.
This was also an opportunity for attendees to discuss future plans for TEDxHuntsville by incorporating more community leaders and local organizations in the planning process, various uses of local advertising/invitations and having live speakers at the next event.

TEDxHuntsville Highlights 2009
November 8, 2009 - "New Perspectives"
The launch event for TEDxHuntsville was held on Sunday, November 8, 2009 at the offices of Cre8ive Partners, located in downtown Huntsville. This was an opportunity for the tech community of Huntsville, Madison County and surrounding areas to come together and share the experience of TED in a independently organized event.
This session's goal was to bring the essence of the TED experience and to find like minds in wanting to pursue future gatherings and events in the future. The response was very enthusiastic and positive, with about 30 attendees wanting to participate in an organizing committee for a far-reaching event to the Huntsville community not aware of TEDxHuntsville and in sharing "ideas worth spreading".
The afternoon was sparked with pre-recorded TED Talks that were enjoyed by all and gave opportunity for attendees to share their thoughts, ideas, and experiences with others based on the theme of New Perspectives. The TED Talks chosen were as follows:

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. TEDxHuntsville was a self-organized event. The consensus is to keep the ideas spreading by having additional sessions and gatherings.
